We are a village and civil parish in the Arun District of West Sussex, we are approximately at the midpoint of the West Sussex coast and lies midway between Chichester & Brighton. The A259 is north of Rustington, runs westward to Littlehampton, Bognor Regis & Chichester, and eastward to Worthing & Brighton. Ideally placed to explore the whole of West Sussex and East Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire, which are within a 25-mile radius.
A key attraction is our coastline with beautiful beach, which has a long stretch of sand and shingle, perfect for swimming, sunbathing, and relaxing. Plenty of water sports are available, including windsurfing, kite surfing, and paddleboarding. The beach area has a number of cafes and restaurants, making it the perfect place to spend a day with family and friends.
Surrounded also by rolling hills, with plenty of walking and cycling routes to explore. The South Downs National Park is just a short drive away, plus other nature reserves and parks in the area. Whether you’re looking for a peaceful stroll or an activity, there is something for everyone.
We are a busy place, with a superb main shopping centre with a great variety of shops, restaurants, professional offices, retail parks and the added bonus of extensive free car parking. There are lawned areas, flower planters and paved walkways, providing a pleasant environment for both residents and visitors. There are also several other peripheral shopping areas with a variety of shops and food outlets, serving the eastern, western and northern areas of Rustington.
The charm of our village reflects a great blend of the old and the new, from thatched cottages to modern flats, houses and bungalows, set behind tree-lined grass verges, many of which are planted with seasonal bulbs and flowering shrubs. A great example of how an old Village can grow into a new vibrant residential and commercial location, and retain its character.
